As spot trade declined and
pricing uncertainty dominated, the European LLDPE market was under increasing
pressure. Some producers were heard to have shut down their order books for
March and issued order stops. Others selling materials were reported to
have raised their offer levels by three digits. A consumer stated that he was offered GBP1,660-1,690/mt UK
but did not buy because he considered it too high. He then called back to
inquire and found out that they had withdrawn the offer. A second consumer stated that they received several offers
