The Asian toluene market prices fell Nov.
21 in line with the rest of the energy sector, influenced by the sharp drop in
crude oil futures. Crude fell for the fourth consecutive
day after China's COVID-19 epidemic impacted China's demand outlook.
Additionally, a stronger dollar made it more expensive to purchase other
currencies. According to industry sources, market
participants were mostly on the sidelines as many looked into the downstream
term tenders from the Unv1's CPC or Korean producers. CPC's
results for the toluene tender were not yet clear. Southeast Asia producers
waited. According to market sources, the Unv1 tender
winners were paid above $30/mt FOB Korea FOB Kaohsiung and not below $30/mt. Some
