Producers heard to have no volume left for export Stronger demand from the tire segment



Although prices rose in
Europe's butadiene market, producers are now bound by domestic contracts. This
has reduced export opportunities in the short term. The Steam
Cracker Outage at Shell Moerdijk helped keep supplies tight, increasing demand
in the C4 Olefins Market. Market participants pointed out that crude C4 is
still very scarce, and that butadiene, as well as raffinate-1, has a limited
supply. A handful of butadiene production
facilities in Europe began their planned turnaround in late March, along with the
Shell Moerdijk production problem. Total
Energies Feyzin was scheduled to stop its petrochemical plant maintenance from
March 23rd through May 26. Two producers
