East China caused domestic cargoes to fall by Yuan 50/mt, bringing the average
price down to Yuan 8600/mt for the week. After a slight rise in
domestic prices during the last half of the week, bearishness returned to
China's PP market. This was due to falling crude oil prices and uncertainty
about demand recovery. "Demand and
supply are both poor. May's production will likely be lower than April." One trader stated that overall fundamentals are poor and any
price gains would likely be due to oil price movements. The ICE Brent July crude oil futures contract closed at
$105.52/b at 4:30pm...
