demand is a lull, but Southeast Asia prices are lower■ China's prices fell on the week, despite a
slight rebound■ Southeast Asia hits demandOn June 29, prices in the
Chinese and Southeast Asia polypropylene market fell. East China prompt
domestic cargo dropped by Yuan 25-40/mt during the week, closing at Yuan 8450-8600/mt. Against a
host of macroeconomic factors, East China PP prices dropped to a 19-month low
last week. Sources said that recession
fears were still evident as the impact of the US Federal Reserve's
interest-rate hikes continued to undermine investor confidence. CFR FEA prices fell to $1,030-1,050/mt on June 24, after the
market suffered poor performances. This was its lowest level since Nov. 13, 2019,
when it closed at $1.030-2.450/mt. The
market sentiment improved and prices recovered slightly this week....
