Spot export acrylonitrile prices dropped on
Dec. 13, the first time since mid November. One source stated that demand was
mixed and companies were slowly moving towards the end of the year. A price
indication heard at $1,400-1,440/mt FOB USGC is pending confirmation market
activity details at this level. ACN export
levels fell $30 to $1530-1570/mt Nov. ACN export
levels had fallen $30 to $1,530/mt on Nov. The period
saw the largest imports of propylene to the US, at 241,771mt. The US
exported 456,954mt of propylene from January through October, an increase of
61,269mt or 15.5% over the year-ago period.
