Brent futures are down $1.71/bDespite stable fundamentals, European
toluene premiums dropped on Dec. 2, despite a steady market. The
trader stated that the fundamentals had not changed on the day. The December premium was $85/mt- $90/mt. This is a decrease
of $5.25/mt- $6.50/mt. The January premium
was unchanged from December. Despite its
own forecasts of an imminent oil surplus, OPEC, Russia-led allies, agreed on
Dec. 2 that they would continue with their planned 400,000 b/d production rise
for January. Crude futures fell sharply
after the decision. This is a relief for US officials who had been pressing OPEC
and its Russia-led allies to increase their January production by 400,000
barrels per day. The February ICE Brent
futures were valued at $69.77/b, a $1.71/b decrease on the previous day.
