South Asian PP: Prices rise on higher offers, restocking demand in India / Fresh offers from Middle East heard after almost 20 days / BOPP converters prioritizing film supply to local buyers: source

South Asian polypropylene prices edged up again in the week ended July 2 amid higher outright offers and some restocking demand in India. PP raffia/injection grade up $5/mt from the last assessment at $965/mt CFR South Asia July 2, below the lowest offer heard at $970/mt CFR South Asia, above the highest bid at $950/mt and within tradable indications heard at $960-$970/mt. The assessment also considered deals heard at $960/mt for 500 mt lot volumes and $970/mt for 100-200 mt lot volumes, as well as indications of restocking demand. Market participants received outright offers from Middle Eastbased producers after a gap of around two weeks.
