South Asian PP: Prices rise amid lingering concerns over Israel-Iran tensions / Most Middle East producers hold off from fresh offers / India's BIS implementation deferred to Oct 24

South Asian polypropylene prices edged up in the week ended June 25, tracking higher discussions amid uncertainty around the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. PP raffia/injection grade up $5/mt from the last assessment at $960/mt CFR South Asia June 25, in line with a deal heard at the same level, below the lowest selling indications heard at $970/mt CFR South Asia, within tradable indications heard at $950-$970/mt, and above a bid at $930/mt. While the market remained divided over whether the uptrend in prices will hold, sell-side indications were heard higher week over week, supported by a deal heard at $960/mt CFR South Asia.
