Trading sources reported that Asian toluene
prices were more stable on Aug. 15 due to tight spot supplies and renewed
interest from India, Southeast Asia, and other countries. Strong buying led to a $16-21/mt increase in FOB
Korea toluene price despite the declines in crude oil and upstream markets. Sources
said that one trader heard a bid of up to $918-930/mt FOB Korean for 2,000 mt
September loading. Another bid was as high as $920-940/mt at the MOC's end
for 3,000mt. At 0838 GMT, the bid for the second trader rose
to $925-950/mt. There were no trades. An industry
source reported that a FOB North China 3,000 mt September offer was made at
$1,030-1,060/mt ASTM D-841, LC 30-days. It...
