South Asian PP prices fall due to stock accumulation and weak purchasing interest Stock buildup for producers: Source / Weak finished goods exports denting buying interest: sources

Market sources reported that South Asian polypropylene fell during the week ending May 7, as an inventory buildup by producers, coupled with risk-averse buyers, continued to affect market sentiment. In an oversupplied marketplace, the PP raffia/injection at $935/mt F.R.S.A., a drop of $15/mt from last week, is within tradable indicators heard between $930-$950/mt. It also exceeds buying indications at $900-910/mt. Sources said that while market participants waited for new offers from Middle East manufacturers this week, there were very few.
