polypropylene market were mixed as higher Chinese prices were offset by another
drop in South Asia and Southeast Asia. Domestic cargoes rose by Yuan 100/mt during the week,
closing at Yuan 8,150/mt. China's CFR
market saw increased trading following the bottoming of CFR Far East Asia
Raffia grades prices at $950/mt last Wednesday due to aggressive selling by
South Korean and Middle East suppliers. One
source said that China is seeing more cargoes to China because demand in Europe
has dropped rapidly. According to one
source, plant operation rates were reported to have dropped to "below 80
