Asian Propylene prices stable on muted Buy-Sell Discussions / Supply abundant amid cautious downstream / Operating rates fall in China week over week

The Asian propylene market prices remained mostly unchanged on April 25, with the FOB China and CFR Korea markers at $825/mt and $785/mt respectively. There were few spot buy-sell conversations. Sources said that the supply on the Chinese domestic market was plentiful and that downstream factories were cautious. The propylene price in Shandong was slightly lower, and there was a weak trading environment. Shandong's prices were Yuan45/mt lower, at Yuan6,570/mt. East China's prices remained stable at Yuan6,825/mt. A producer from China gave a vague indication of $770/mt FOM Japan, but there were few FOB Japan deals. Sources said that Taiwan's weekly market saw few imports, as local producers were able to supply more domestically.
