South Asian polypropylene fell during the week ending July 9. This was due to higher supplies and a softer demand from India, the biggest South Asian consumer. PP raffia/injection down $10/mt since the last assessment, at $955/mt FSA July 9, below both the lowest offer and the corroborated $960/mt FSA. Above the highest bid of $940/mt. India-based trade sources said that they heard a lot offers from both Middle East and China, with most of them being at the same level. One of the sources noted that these offers cover a much longer delivery schedule than is typical, which ensures some supply security over a long period.
