South Asian PP prices rise amid concerns about Israel Iran tensions / Most Middle East Producers hold back on new offers India's BIS implementation delayed to October 24

South Asian polypropylene rates increased in the week ending June 25 as a result of higher discussions about the uncertainty surrounding the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel. PP raffia/injection grades up $5/mt since the last assessment on June 25 at $960/mt CIF South Asia. This is in line with a recent deal at this level. It was also below the lowest sales indications at $970/mt CIF South Asia. The market is divided on whether or not the upward trend in prices will continue. However, the sell-side indicators were higher than last week. This was supported by an agreement heard at $960/mt.
