Plenty of Supply■ The sentiment continues to be weighed on by weak derivative margins■ Asian Ethylene output is expected to
average 6.9 million mt in Q3Asian ethylene prices dropped
on July 1, despite low demand and plenty of supply. Sellers continue to feel
the pressure from H2 July excess cargoes and low buying indicators. Many buyers
stated that they weren't in a hurry to purchase additional material because
inventory space was limited and derivative margins were low. Mono ethylene glycol production margin was $10-15/mt on July
1, an improvement from minus $148-160/mt on Jun 24, for SM at minus $135.40-150.25/mt
on June 24, and HDPE film at $10-15/mt up from minus 40/mt May 24. The operating rates for Asia for ethylene are expected to
