Sources say that the Asian Acetone Market
saw limited supply in the week ending February 14, due to lower operating
rates. This pushed up demand for acetone cargoes. A source claimed that supply constraints in the
larger Southeast Asia market pushed offer levels up to $870-885/mt CFR
Southeast Asia for February-March delivery cargoes. According to
a China-based source there was demand from both within Asia and the US and UK
for Acetone. Therefore, traders are hoping to export acetone cargoes to
different destinations markets from China. In India,
acetone prices rose in response to higher CFR offers. Indian
domestic ex-tank Kandla offerings were heard in the Rupees range of Rupees
799-81/kg...
