Asian polypropylene market prices were stable or lower this week. Yuan 40/mt closed in East
China, which was Yuan 8,010/mt less than the previous week. After being supported by the last week's pre-holiday buying
in China, prices in this week’s trading sessions are now falling. Sources said that industry players have been cautious due to
poor performance in the Chinese futures and crude oil markets. However, the
outlook for post-holiday demand remains uncertain. Some industry participants reported that the average
production rate across PP plants in China was stable at around 85%. CFR indications in the import market were very sparse this
week due to a stronger US dollar making imports...
