prices remained steady at Yuan 7,850/mt. Despite a lack of market activity
towards year's end, China saw a price increase. According to market
sources, while there are limited deals at higher prices, many buyers have
sufficient stocks in place for the festive season. One buyer stated that
unless the price is extremely low, they would not be interested in taking any
cargoes. The Lunar New Year has also obscured the full effect of the
