After a $80-$150/mt price increase
week-on-week Feb. 10, Asian butadiene was stable in the session February 13. The Chinese domestic market began the week
strongly with a Yuan 200-250/mt price increase. This was Yuan 9,600-9,680/mt
February 13, which is the highest rate since Sept. 20, 2022, Yuan 9,800-9,880/mt. Some market
sources warn that the upside to the Chinese market may be limited because more
capacity will soon be launched. According to market sources, China
will soon see the start of 270,000 mt/year more capacity. A sell
tender for ex-Thailand was awarded at minus $50-$70/mt, based on the CFR
