Spot export polyvinylchloride prices were
flattened on July 6. This was based on stable pricing indicators and a deal
made at $1,300-1,340/mt FAS Houston to limit volume. Prices were set at
$1,310-1,320/mt FAS Houston. The base range was $1,290-1,300/mt FAS, plus an
additional $20-25/mt to cover higher drayage trucking costs and storage costs
for packaged materials in warehouses. The
range is not inclusive of freight, insurance, and margins. According to some market sources, prices are not low enough
for typical buyers because traders still have large quantities of material that
they purchased in recent months and which are sitting in warehouses waiting to
