New plants affect prices by increasing supply / China's operating rate is stable WOW

The price of acrylonitrile in Far East Asia is $75/mt less than that in Southeast Asia, due to weaker domestic China prices. There are also selling indications at around $1100/mt for Northeast Asia. There were also selling indications at $1,060-1,080/mt for CFR China, and $1,010/mt for FOB China, but no levels of buying were heard. The market has been weakened by the addition of new plants and producers' considerations to export cargoes. This has led to a sharp drop in prices from week-to-week. In China, Shandong's ex-tanks price was around Yuan 8,050-8150/mt while East China's was around Yuan 8100-8300/mt. Import parity prices ranged from $976-985/mt.
