under pressure during the week ending February 7, due to long supply and weak
demand. Spot prices
were impacted by higher operating rates for chlorine from nearly all PVC
producers and weak demand according to one trader. Another producer pointed out that spot prices were at this
level, and that chlorine production was increasing in the Mediterranean. Some suppliers claimed prices of $700-750/dmt CFR
Mediterranean. However, this level could not be confirmed as demand was weak. A second trader stated that "Caustic demand is still
