in the second half. China's Sinopec Qilu has been running its downstream
styrene-butadiene-rubber plants with a combined capacity of 250,000 mt/year at
around 50% of capacity, according to sources close to the company. According to a source, South Korea's Kumho Petrochemical
reduced its synthetic rubber plant operations at Ulsan in July. This was due to
negative margins. Kumho owns a
256,000-mt/year SBR and 580,000-mt/year Nitrile Butadiene Latex plants at
