Sources said that Asian polypropylene markets fell
week-on-week Nov. 2, as long-standing demand bearishness was exacerbated by
aggressive selling by exporters. South
Korean suppliers to China were reported to have reduced offer prices on the CFR
market due to inventory pressures. Deals were done below $900-$920/mt as import
prices dropped to match those in China. One
source claimed that supply is improving and that there are more turnarounds. He
also said that China expects to continue to experience import surpluses due the
absence of good netback markets. Investor
confidence continues to be eroded by COVID-19 restrictions. According to media reports, Shanghai Disney Resort was shut
