Asian PP weaker due to uncertainty in the market amid tariffs / Cautious due to tariffs / Demand for energy falls as the market grows

In the week ending April 9, Asian polypropylene was weak. The recent decline in crude oil is likely to lead to a continued reduction in buying enthusiasm amid the uncertainty of the market. Market participants waited to see what would happen as crude oil and naphtha prices dropped. Sources focused on China exports instead of imports and pointed out that the domestic prices in China are significantly lower than imports. After tax rebates and exchange rate adjustments, export prices were quoted at $900 to $930/mt. Indonesia and Vietnam are usually short on PP, but the demand for finished goods is weak.
