Asian LLDPE Weekly Comments■ Stability in LLDPE grades across Asia■ Market to Recover as the Holiday Season ApproachesThe week ended Aug. 10 saw stability in
Asian linear low-density polyethylene (LDPE) prices. The CFR Far East Asia
marker was unchanged and $10-15/mt higher than the previous week's assessment
at $1,130-1,170/mt. A
trader in Asia said that although the market appears subdued due to suppliers
dropping prices to liquidate old stocks, it will recover towards winter because
crude oil prices are expected to rise. According
to several sources, the market participants should see some relief during the
festive season. Based on limited
conversations, the CFR Southeast Asia marker was unchanged at $1,040-1,080/mt
CFR Southeast Asia. The CFR South Asia
marker was rated at $1,180-1,220/mt. This is $30 less than the previous week. C6 Metallocene grades remained the same...
