Asian EDC/VCM prices stable to soft amid low market activity –/Markets evaluate impact of new US tariffs NE Asia VCM Supply Tight in April Due to Eid al-Fitr, SE Asia activity is thin

The spot prices of Asian ethylene di chloride imports remained unchanged in the week ending April 3, despite the low market activity caused by Eid al-Fitr, and the announcement on April 2 of new reciprocal US duties. EDC CFR Far East Asia remained unchanged at $225/mt, and EDC CFR Southeast Asia stayed unchanged at $200/mt in the week ending April 3. The market for vinyl chloride and PVC monomers was quiet, but the upstream ethylene market remained stable. On April 3, ethylene CFR Far East Asia remained unchanged from the previous week, at $855/mt. CFR SE Asia remained stable, at $920/mt.
