all-time high- US supply remains tight





The US spot export caustic soda prices fell
$95-100/dmt during the week Nov. The spot US
export caustic soda prices were down $95-99/dmt on the weekb> /b>Nov. Prices rose
in October due to increased demand from Europe. "The
FOB NWE caustic soda marker increased nearly 53% between late August and
$1,375/dmt early November. The CFR Med caustic soda marker rose 36% to
$1,200/dmt in the same period. CFR Med was down $75/dmt week-on-week at
$1.100/dmt. China's demand has not recovered from periodic COVID shutdowns.
This has led to more exports and lower prices. The Asian
caustic soda prices were flat assessed on Nov. 22 at $565/dmt FOB Northeast
Asia, and $645/dmt CSR Southeast Asia.
