was little support during the week ending June 15. Sources spoke of a sliding
demand in key sectors and a lack of liquidity as buyers continued to be scared
by high prices. The
record-high June prices were cited as the reason for a drop in demand in the
construction, auto, and appliance industries. Although buyers had expected a drop in June prices, a
reversal of upstream benzene's price direction led to polystyrene manufacturers
