The overall bearish energy complex
influenced the Asian styrene monmer price declines of Nov. 8. The domestic ex-tank price
fluctuated throughout the trading day and finally traded lower in the face of a
rangebound crude oil futures market. On an
import-parity basis, the prompt east China extank styrene mark fell Yuan 45/mt
to Yuan 8,050/mt. A seller stated that the
Asian market was still bearish. Another
seller stated that the price level was acceptable, but low demand is the
problem. According to industry sources,
there were no trades due to low demand in Asia. Asian benzene gained 33 cents per mt to $805-825/mt FOB
