The US Gulf Coast spot MTBE price rose to a
nearly 3-month high due to front-month gasoline futures. While the premium
remained stable at 80 cents/gal, the premium stayed to remain stable at HTML1. MTBE was 4.09 cents more
expensive on the day, at 353.48 Cents/gal. This is the highest level since Aug. 11, when prices
were at 354.08 cents/gal. A Gulf Coast
blender stated Nov. 4 that he had not seen any MTBE activity in the last few
weeks. "Whatever is being offered,
it's being done quietly. " Mexico
seems to be gearing up in preparation for winter driving season which
typically peak in December. Five ships
were used this week as floating stock outside of Tuxpan, on the eastern
