Prices of Asian isomer-mixed xylenes were
stable to softer on August 15, amid muted spot talks. The earlier Market on Close session heard an offer
for the first half of September and the second half of September at $1,021-1,040/mt FOB
Korea. There were no takers. Afterward, a second trader offered
$1,021-1,040/mt FOB Korea to another trader. However, this was unsuccessful. September lay cans were valued at $1,022-1,060/mt FOB Korea. This is $1-2/mt more than the
bid. There were no trades reported. According to
trading sources, the Jiangsu region's toluene/xylene market saw a slight
increase in buying, tight supply, and lower prices. A trader
stated that so far, the inventory at China's main port is low. This makes the
market seem tight ...[ today....
