Dec 2nd saw the Asian naphtha market
buoyed by tight Western arbitrament supply and healthy olefins margins. The
benchmark C+F Japan naphtha cargo assessment dropped $14/mt on the day, to
$674/mt-$700/mt at Asian close on Dec. 1. This was due to falling crude oil
futures. Recent sessions have seen
volatility in crude oil markets as uncertainty over the news about the omicron
coronavirus has dragged down the outlook for oil demand. ICE Brent crude futures fell 46 cents per day and dropped
$10.79/b weekly to $71.81/b at 0830 GMT Asian market closing on Nov. 30, weighing
