South Asian polypropylene rates rose again during the week ending July 2, amid increased outright offers, and some restocking in India. The PP raffia/injection grades were up $5/mt since the last assessment, at $965/mt for CFR South Asia on July 2. This was below the lowest bid of $970/mt, but above the highest offer at $950/mt. It also fell within the range of tradable indicators heard between $960 and $970/mt. The assessment took into account the deals that were heard at $960/mt, for 500-mt lots and $970/mt, for 100-200-mt volumes as well as indicators of restocking. After a two-week gap, market participants received direct offers from Middle East producers. After the Middle East conflict, producers in the region withdrew their offers due to rising concerns about shipping and freight rates....
