Asian polypropylene prices were stable to firmer in the week ended July 9, with market sources pointing to a balanced market. CFR Far East Asia PP raffia and injection prices at $890/mt July 9, up $10/mt week over week, in line with tradable indications heard at $880-$900/mt. Meanwhile, prices of other grades, including IPP Film, BOPP, and Block Copol, also saw increases, rising $10/mt week over week. Despite these increases, sources said trading activity remained largely subdued, with participants closely monitoring market updates for fresh pricing cues. Easing container freight rates prompted several buyers to emerge with inquiries, a regional source said.
