CFR Far East Asia gained $15/mt during the week, despite a more optimistic
outlook for China. The
relaxed COVID-19 policy has boosted sentiment in China's PP market. Market players anticipate a price increase starting February
as end-product producers are expected to replenish their stocks. One trader stated that as long as Yuan 8000 is below local
prices, it would be a good moment to buy if there are longer-term upsides. Others expressed concern that the sustained economic
recovery is dependent on an improvement in downstream demand. This could make
it vulnerable to spikes of COVID-19 cases after a relaxation...
