South Asian polypropylene prices fell further in the week ended Oct. 8, mainly due to oversupply and factors including a stronger US currency, risk-averse sentiment among buyers in a falling market, as well as intense competition for market share among producers, which led to competitive offers, although buyside indications remained at a wide gap. PP raffia/injection grade down $15/mt week over week at $845/mt CFR South Asia Oct. 8, below the lowest offer heard and corroborated at $850/mt as well as above the most competitive bid heard and corroborated at $800/mt. The assessment was also within tradable indications heard at $840-$850/mt.
