Asian polymeric methylene diphenyl diisocyanate was stable in the week to July 18 on weak demand and thin trade discussions. PMDI stable week over week at $1,850/mt CFR India and slab stock polyol stable week over week at $1,145/ mt CFR India. CFR India selling indications for South Korea-origin PMDI were heard at $1,850/mt CFR India July 18. Ex-tank PMDI prices were stable to lower and heard at Rupees 160-165/kg during the week. The market is currently experiencing weakness due to the monsoon season, resulting in minimal activity, a market source said. The demand for PMDI, Slab stock and TDI is showing signs of weakness, with no anticipated improvement in the near future — likely for at least another month, he added.
