Due to a holiday in China, Asian mono
ethylene glycol prices remained stable on September 12. November ICE Brent crude
oil futures rose $2.50-3.50/b to $92.82-98.25/b at 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830
GMT) Traders said that the upsides for
downstream PET resins will be limited as they move into 2023. Sources said that arbitrage windows between Southeast Asia,
and the European and North American markets should remain open due to high
freight costs and a healthy spread of prices. Low feedstock prices have slowed down buying in these
regions. Sources said that the downstream
PET market is entering a period of uncertainty due to the summer's peak demand
