Asian butadiene was stable Nov. 28,
compared to Nov. 25, as market participants chose to wait and see. After the FOB Rotterdam price fell $470/mt on
day one to $500/mt, market participants are now speculating about a possible
influx from Europe-origin materials into Asia. The price
spread between CFR China (and FOB Rotterdam) has widened from minus $210/mt to
$260/mt after the European market collapse. According
to market sources, however, traders were not able to move Europe's origin
materials to Asia due to the $330-350/mt Europe-Asia freight. A 7,000-mt
spot cargo of freight was reserved for H2 December delivery in China at the
mid-$700s/mt CFR China. CIF USG Butadiene was also stable at
