- Phenol downstream remains weak- India talks slip amid supply glut



Concerns in China were raised about the new
phenolproduction units. Domestic prices were also discussed during the day at
Yuan 9,000-9080/mt (or $1,072.04-1,112.20/mt). The tradeable indication
for CFR China was heard between $990 and $1,080/mt. Participants also stated that materials such as far
from Latin America had tried to find outlets in Far East, but phenol
supplies remained plentiful in Far East. $1,065/mt
was the phenol price, which is down $60/mt to track domestic China market. CFR China phenol was atb> /b>$1,065/mt, down $60/mt,
