Asian PET: High feedstock costs cause high prices- Spot trading thin during ongoing holidays in China- Sentiment rises as March approaches peak seasonThe week ended February 1 saw higher prices
for PET chips and polyester fiber in bottles. This was due to rising feedstock
costs. Market sources stated that purified Terephthalic Acid -- a key feedstock
-- rose on the backs of rising paraxylene. Higher PET offers led to firmer

was limited as most buyers were covered in the first quarter 2023. However,
several sources claim that there were only a few buyers as many finished goods
