Nov.16, as producers raised offers on the back of upstream
volatility."Prices of PX and PTA rose sharply late last week, so we
raisedoffers to reflect the changes in raw material prices," said a
producerin China. "However, deals have been quite limited as this is the
lullseason," he added.Margins for PET bottle chips remained healthy, some
marketsources said, supporting operating rates at PET bottle chip facilities
at90%-100%. However, the season for turnarounds would begin soon,said a
Northeast Asian trader, as some plants in China typically gofor turnarounds in
December or January....
