change in supply and demand. Although
buying indications for PET chips of bottle grade in FOB Southeast Asian markets
were lower than those from FOB China, most sellers stated that they had
maintained stable deal volumes. According
to one producer, production margins were good, but they were lower year over
year. According to market sources,
operating rates in Asia are stable at 90%-100%. As finished goods manufacturing plants increased their
operating rates, trading activity in the yarn and polyester fiber markets slowed
