Asian PET: Increased offers based on upstream gains# The long holiday season brings an increase in demand# Operating Rates likely to stay at 80%-83%





Due to increases in PX and upstream prices, Asian PET
market offers were higher during the week ended May 11. After the long holidays,
demand for PET chips in bottle form improved. Some deals were made as buyers
wanted to secure space for the June and July shipping dates due to China's
ongoing restrictions and lockdowns. Although
there was a steady stream of inquiries from Europe and the US, traders said
that they could not accept certain orders due to indeterminate shipping schedules. Producers in Southeast Asia saw an increase in inquiries for
Juneloading shipment shipments. Some said they were sold out for H1 June, but
had some inventory left...
