Asian PET : China Market: Stable Offers, Southeast Asia Reduces Levels to Attract Bids / China's exports remain steady despite crude oil price increase / Southeast Asian producers reduce offers to attract bids

Prices of Asian polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), which is also known as PET, were either stable or lower during the week ending March 19. This was due to a lackluster buying interest on the market and an abundance of spot supply. Bottle-grade PET FOB Northeast Asia was $790/mt on March 19, unchanged from the previous week. PET FOB Southeast Asia dropped $10/mt, to $855/mt during the same time period. Market participants reported that regional producers in China kept their offers largely the same, while buyers were on the sidelines, despite slight increases in crude oil prices upstream.
