Pertamina is likely to start up its residue fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) unit in Balikpapan. A source in Indonesia informed a team member, “The unit is expected to begin production by November 2025, subject to completion of necessary formalities. However, confirmation from an authorized source is still awaited.” Located in Balikpapan, Indonesia, the RFCC unit has a propylene production capacity of 230,000 mt/year.
