India's methanol prices were higher Dec.
19, due to tighter than usual inventory levels and a shortage of spot supplies
for H1 January. Some importers offered higher bids in anticipation of
tightening market conditions. According
to data from Dec. 15, the Kandla port's methanol inventory was estimated
at 76,000 mt, a source shared. According
to a source, the January market prices were supported by tighter Iranian
supplies and prevailing gas shortages. A producer thought that India could
trade at $305-320/mt CFR India given firmer domestic ex tank discussions and
