Asian toluene prices fell on July 7,
following a second consecutive day with sharp declines in crude oil futures. A $1,105-1,150/mt FOB Korea offer was made for a
cargo load of 2,000 mt in the second half of August. There were
no trades. Before the declaration date, H2 August cargo was
agreed to. According to industry sources, buyers in
Southeast Asia continued to hold off, despite having supplies for July. A buyer
stated that he believes prices will fall but is not interested in importing
this time. Another buyer stated that the "price of
crude oil has fallen sharply" and that new shipments could be imported. Industry
sources reported that H1 August arrival cargoes received buying indications at
$1,150-1,180/mt CFR...
